Crystal St. John, LMFT
Crystal St. John has worked with women’s issues for the past decade and had specific experience in Eating disorder treatment for the past 3 years as both a primary therapist and program director for Center for Discovery’s residential treatment. In her work, Crystal incorporates evidence-based treatment modalities that include dialectal behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and Restoration Therapy through the lens of a strengths-based approach.Crystal obtained her Masters in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University in San Diego, California. She also holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Dance from the University of Colorado at Boulder as she’s passionate about the collaboration and connection of body work and healing in movement and connection to self. Crystal also is a licensed Body Positive facilitator and holds multiple certifications in personal training and active group wellness were she incorporates body kindness and positivity into her clinical work with those struggling with body image, exercise addiction, motivation and other issues. She is a compassionate clinician who believes in helping individuals and their families work through their pain to develop the hope they need for long-lasting recovery and healing. She has experience working with a broad range of issues, including body image issues, eating disorders, family and couples issues, mood and anxiety disorders, substance abuse, trauma and PTSD.
