Adolescent Program

Montecatini recognizes that the psychological, biological and social aspects of each patient must be addressed. Our interdisciplinary team has expertise in managing adolescent patients and is knowledgeable about normal physical and psychological development. Our treatment team works collaboratively with each family as well as schools, coaches, physicians, therapists and other outpatient treatment providers. Each patient is assigned a clinician who will manage all aspects of their care including discharge planning. In addition to group therapy, each patient receives a weekly individual session with the psychiatrist, dietician and primary therapist. Family sessions are held twice a week either in person or via telephone.

The key to our success is having a staff that is highly experienced in treating adolescent girls with eating disorders and co-occurring disorders as well as an intensive, structured and dynamic program and a high staff-to-patient ratio. These key components allow us to deliver the personalized care necessary for recovery.

Once the clinical and medical assessments are complete and the individual’s unique needs are identified, a patient-specific treatment protocol is designed. A decision will be made if the individual is best suited for the Intensive Residential Program, Partial Hospitalization Program or Intensive Outpatient Program. A balance between psychological, medical, and pharmacological, nutritional, and family therapy is sought using the following treatment modalities:

  • Cognitive-Behavioral Group
  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
